AmmPower Named Top Private Sector Partner in Port of Corpus Christi Authority's Clean Hydrogen Hub (HCH2) for Sustainability and Growth
AmmPower is a clean energy company based in Toronto, Ontario that specializes in the production of green ammonia. They have a research and manufacturing facility in Southeast Michigan. The company is involved in all aspects of green ammonia production, including the production of green fertilizers, carbon-free shipping fuel, and the movement of green hydrogen as ammonia. They are working on developing technologies to produce green ammonia and green hydrogen at scale, including investigating unique catalytic reactions to lower costs and take advantage of carbon credits. AmmPower holds several letters of intent with ports in Brazil and the United States, and is currently developing a prototype to create green ammonia for the agricultural industry. They also hold a lithium exploration property in Quebec and an option on a property in Northwestern Ontario.
The company is excited to announce that it has been named as one of the private sector partners in the Port of Corpus Christi Authority’s Horizons Clean Hydrogen Hub (HCH2). The HCH2 is one of 33 (out of 79) clean hydrogen hub concepts that has been encouraged to submit a full application by the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Clean Energy Demonstration. AmmPower's role as a team member would be to build and operate facilities to manufacture green hydrogen and green ammonia.
The Port of Corpus Christi is the prime applicant for the HCH2 and will serve as the common denominator for the roughly two dozen clean hydrogen production projects in the proposed hub.
