#1. Blue Hydrogen from Wood Waste

Mote which is a Climatetech company is working on its first facility to convert wood waste into hydrogen fuel while capturing, utilizing, and sequestering CO2 emissions of the process. It is estimated that 500 million metric tons of wood waste is produced in the US alone and Mote is planning to produce 7 million metric tons of carbon-negative hydrogen starting from 2024.

#2. Let us not allow the Hindenburg disaster to keep us away from Airships

A brave, California startup H2 Clipper is thinking about bringing back hydrogen-filled airships. H2 Clipper claims they can unlock completely green intercontinental cargo operations carrying more payload than any cargo plane over long distances for one-fourth of the cost. The Hydrogen airships were operating and the Hindenburg disaster is one of the key incidents to abandon this marvellous concept of transportation. However, technology has been advanced many folds since this tragic incident. No need for us to abandon a technically feasible concept away from us citing an old incident.

3. Norway granted 1 billion Norwegian crowns supporting emissions-free hydrogen and ammonia

Norway recently granted 1 billion Norwegian crowns (USD 111 million) to fund three projects to produce emissions-free hydrogen and ammonia.
